Discovering Purpose Through the 8 Callings of God
What does it mean to discover and fulfill God’s purpose for your life? In this episode, we explore the eight callings outlined in II Peter 1:5–7: Faith, Virtue, Knowledge, Temperance, Patience, Godliness, Brotherly Kindness, and Charity. Each calling represents a step in spiritual growth, shaping our character, strengthening our walk with Christ, and increasing our effectiveness as witnesses for Him.
As we respond to God’s call, we learn to separate from darkness, walk in His truth, live under the Spirit’s control, endure suffering, respond with humility, recognize the needs of others, and reproduce spiritual maturity through Christlike love. The ultimate goal is for our lives to become living testimonies that translate spiritual truth into a world that desperately needs Jesus.
